Roomba robot vacuum: Roomba, the new intelligent
robotic floor vacuum from iRobot that cleans floors all by
itself, so you have more time to relax or do other things,
has just earned the Good Housekeeping Seal.
The Good Housekeeping Seal lets consumers know that the Roomba
robotic vacuum has been evaluated by the Good Housekeeping
Institute. Good Housekeeping also promises to replace the
product or offer a refund if it proves to be defective within
the first two years of purchase. Consumers are protected whether
they bought Roomba Floorvac or received it as a gift.
"Good Housekeeping is very happy to be partnering with
iRobot to introduce Roomba robot vacuums to America's consumers.
We're proud to have them be a part of our Seal-holding family,"
Pat Haegele, GH publisher and senior vice president, Corporate
Hearst.
According to iRobot's CEO, Colin Angle, "Good Housekeeping
is one of the most trusted brands in consumer protection.
The Seal recognizes that Roomba's product performance has
been reviewed by the Good Housekeeping Institute and gives
consumers even more confidence in their purchase."
Roomba Intelligent FloorVac robot vacuum cleaner is the first
floor appliance to deliver the promised conveniences of advanced
robotics technology (at the affordable consumer price of $199.95).
At the touch of a button, Roomba" automatically cleans
all types of floor surfaces, including low to medium carpet,
tile, hardwood and linoleum. You simply place it in the middle
of the room, turn it on, select the room size and walk away.
Guided by infrared sensors, Roomba avoids falling down stairs
and cleans around furniture without getting stuck.
Roomba weighs less than six pounds, yet is powerful enough
to get the entire floor clean. It can even clean under kick-boards
in the kitchen, and underneath beds or furniture more than
four inches off the floor. A spinning side brush thoroughly
cleans next to walls and hard-to-reach places. Roomba robotic
vacuums comes with an invisible infrared "wall"
to keep it from crossing open areas as wide as 15 feet. One
charge of the included NiMH battery provides enough power
to clean up to three medium-size rooms.
Roomba robotic floor vacuums are available at a breakthrough
price of $199.95 at Brookstone, The Sharper Image and Hammacher
Schlemmer.
