Hoover Windtunnel Dual V

Hoover Windtunnel Dual V: High technology translates to easier, better, faster. When high tech meets home cleaning, the result is effective cleaning with less effort.

For maintaining a beautifully clean home, the next generation of floor care brings together an array of the most advanced features in one vacuum -- the new Hoover Windtunnel Dual V upright U8130-900.

In high-tech terms, the Hoover WindTunnel Dual V vacuum cleaner combines dual WindTunnel systems, dual dirt paths, dual agitators, and dual motors for efficient, effective carpet cleaning and user-friendly ease. In old-fashioned terms, think of the "two hands are better than one" principle.

"It's like having two vacuums working together in one unit. The Hoover WindTunnel Dual V upright vacuum is engineered with all the best vacuum technology," said Hoover president Keith G. Minton. "Consumer research shows people are spending more time in the home and are more concerned with its cleanliness. Our advanced dual technology provides easy but effective cleaning."

How do the dual systems work? With WindTunnel technology developed by Hoover, once dirt and dust mites are picked up, the design channels help direct the dirt particles away from the agitator and toward the dirt path to help prevent dirt from being redistributed onto the carpet. Two suction channels in one vacuum, as in the WindTunnel Dual V upright, create two dirt paths, instead of one, for consistent, edge-to-edge cleaning to pick up dirt and dust mites in carpets.

Dual agitators in the WindTunnel Dual V are intertwined and rotate away from each other to spread carpet fibers. This helps get deep down into the carpet where dirt and dust mites may settle, plus it leaves the carpet fibers all brushed in one direction for a tidier look.

The dual motor system provides belt-less operation for long, hassle-free cleaning performance. The Hoover WindTunnel Dual V also keeps a lower profile - the agitator can be adjusted lower to the floor for easier cleaning under tables and other furniture. The vacuum headlight also is closer to the floor to help you see dirt, even under furniture and in dark corners.

A new, easy way to replace vacuum bags -- a bag in a cup - also was created. Just snap the bag inside the cup and replace the cup. Bagless models also have a side-entry dirt cup that slides in and out. No locking mechanism needed, yet the the cup won't get loose if the vacuum is tilted.

All models of the Windtunel offer high-efficiency filtration that captures 100 percent of dust mites and ragweed pollens. The bagless models feature Hoover's patented Twin Chamber™ System with a Teflon® coating on the HEPA filter to shed dirt, thus extending the life of the filter and performance of the cleaner.

Other advantages include: totally soft wheels in back and underneath for gentle hard-floor cleaning; quiet operation and instant tool use - no buttons to push or knobs to twist to use tools for cleaning in high and low spots and in corners and crevices.

The innovative Hoover WindTunnel Dual V also scores high in looks. Even with dual suction channels, it's slimmer and sleeker, with a unique, attractive clear front which provides a view of the brushes in action.

The Hoover WindTunnel Dual V upright vacuum cleaner comes in three models, with an expected retail price range of $229 to $349. Choices include: a bagged model in Harbor Blue and bagless models in Lacquer Red and Racing Green, the latter model including a hand tool for upholstery and small areas such as carpeted stairs.

Hoover, the leader in the floor-care industry, offers a full line of products, including full-size uprights and canisters, extractors, stick cleaners, hand-held cleaners, hard-floor cleaners, central vacuum systems and commercial products.
