Hoover vacuums is taking its cleaning expertise and brand
power to the driveway, patio, garage, sidewalk, and swimming
pool area with the SpinSweep™ hard-surface Hoover
outdoor sweeper.
Forget the broom or blower when cleaning outdoor hard surfaces.
The versatile, lightweight Hoover SpinSweep (Model L1400)
outdoor sweeper keeps properties well groomed by sweeping
up debris such as twigs, excess mulch, grass clipping, pebbles,
and even empty aluminum cans in its 21-inch cleaning path.
“The SpinSweep from Hoover hard-surface outdoor sweeper
is a natural extension of Hoover’s commitment to owning
home cleaning – both inside and outside,” said
David Baker, vice president - diversified products. “The
Outdoor Sweeper is also ideal for light commercial use. It
gives our brand an additional presence at retail -- in the
lawn and garden section -- and opens up a new category that
means incremental business for retailers.”
With a retail range of $99 to $129, Hoover SpinSweep provides
an economical, simple and effective way to keep asphalt, concrete
and other outdoor hard surfaces looking neat and attractive.
It’s quiet and environmentally friendly, too, operating
without a motor or batteries and using no fuel. Because it
doesn’t have a cord and weighs only 13 pounds, it offers
a fast, convenient way to clean many different areas and can
be easily transported. Molded plastic hand grips make it comfortable
to push.
Here’s how it works: A worm gear on the two swiveling
wheels beneath the cleaner drives large nylon brushes that
rotate toward the center of the unit. As the brushes rotate,
they sweep up debris. A third wheel provides balance for the
unit. Traction is achieved when the user pushes the unit,
putting weight on the wheels. The SpinSweep outdoor sweeper
even adjusts to accommodate smooth or rough surfaces as well
as to clean fine debris and larger items.
Unlike a blower, this latest offering from Hoover eliminates
litter at ground level, sweeping it into a large self-contained
bin – not raising plumes of dust or blowing it into
the air or swimming pool. When the job is done, the user can
detach the collection bin by just releasing a latch and carrying
it by its handle to a trash container for emptying. Hands
never touch the mess!
The Hoover SpinSweep outdoor sweeper can get dirt from crevices,
thanks to its wall guides – tabs on both sides of its
hood that position it flush against a wall. And, the cleaner
is easy to store. It will stand upright or can be hung flat
against a wall.
Fashioned from tough, high-grade plastic, the SpinSweep outdoor
sweeper’s combination green casing is fade resistant
and durable enough to withstand the outside elements. Assembly
is simple and requires no tools.
Look for the Hoover SpinSweep in select national retail stores
and hardware stores.
