The once-popular Hoover canister vacuum cleaners are
making a comeback. The Hoover Telios canister cleaner
– named after the Greek word for perfect – is
a straight-suction, compact canister that cleans bare floors
and carpets. Its multiple accessories are designed to clean
hard-to-reach areas.
“A greater number of homes are featuring hardwood and
other bare-surface floors, so people want hard-surface floor
cleaners that can clean everything from hardwood to tile to
vinyl to marble,” said Annette Bravard, vice president
– marketing. “Hoover canister vacuums, such as
the Telios cleaner, offer the versatility to be used on carpet
and area rugs, then quickly converted to hard-surface floors
with just the flip of a switch.”
Hoover canister vacuums are lightweight, egg-shaped body
is designed to make use of every square inch of the product.
While the accessories are only a fingertip away, the Hoover
Telios canister is designed in a way that beautifully conceals
them until they are needed.
The Hoover Telios compact canister has two ways to tackle
above-the-floor cleaning. When its telescoping wand is disconnected
at the nozzle, the vacuum cleaner can reach high ceilings
– great for eliminating cobwebs from corners. When its
“gas pump” handgrip is disconnected from the wand
and a tool is attached, the machine takes on the function
of a hand-held cleaner. A covered compartment holds tools,
another houses the filter and the entire top of the Hoover
canister snaps open for easy removal of the disposable two-layer
bag.
The Hoover Telios compact canister vacuum offers amenities
found on more expensive canisters, including: · A quiet
motor · A telescoping wand · A variable motor
speed control to adjust for light to heavy tasks ·
A variable suction control on the handle to adjust suction
for delicate fabrics and upholstery · A full-bag indicator
· A retractable cord to eliminate the drudgery of re-winding
· A swivel hose to clean in a wide radius around the
canister without moving it · Seven layers of filtration
The Telios canister vacuun from Hoover comes in candy apple
red. It will be available in May and will retail between $99
and $129.
