Hoover Steamer

Sssssst. That’s the sound of the Hoover Steamer, the newest product cleaning the kitchen floor . . . getting the dirt out of grout . . . removing the grime from window screens.

In fact, the versatile, lightweight Hoover steam cleaner can transform itself to perform a wide array of tasks for busy households. It can be used as a hand-held machine, or with the addition of a collapsible, telescoping handle, it can be used for steam mopping floors and for above-the-floor cleaning. A variety of attachments with the Hoover Steamer enable it to do everything from scrubbing toilets to removing scuffs from hard surfaces – all without chemicals, just steam.

“In the United States, steam cleaning is one of the newest methods for deep-down cleaning,” said Annette Bravard, vice president – marketing. “Like all of Hoover’s latest products, the Hoover Steamer is steam cleaner designed to make cleaning more convenient through its easily-adaptable accessories and multi-cleaning functions.”

Unlike other steam cleaners, the Hoover Steamer allows its user to turn the machine on and adjust the flow of steam by simply turning a dial. Use a concentrated flow of steam for grout; a more diffused flow for floor cleaning. The water tank is easy to detach for filling or emptying with just the touch of a switch. A red light flashes to indicate the unit is heating; steam forms in just 20 to 30 seconds.

The Hoover Steamer H1005 machine comes with an array of accessories, including a sponge mop head; a triangle-shaped brush for getting into corners; a round brush with cover for delicate cleaning needs; a turbo nozzle to pinpoint the steam; a jet nozzle to adjust the flow of steam; a toilet brush; a sink brush; a shoulder strap; and a bag to hold everything.

The Steamer from Hoover will be available in early May. It will retail between $69.95 and $99.95.
